Identified risk

We have been informed of a potential risk of a missing crimping on one of the rivets of the automatic connector ref. NM28N.O (aluminum connector, 60 mm, orange and grey colors).

If the crimp is missing, the rivet may separate from the gate and prevent the automatic locking, making the equipment non-compliant

This connector can be:

  • Sold individually under reference NM28N.O
  • Or integrated into a complete equipment (lanyard or fall arrest system), identifiable by the letter "C" in the product reference (e.g. : NHDA10AC, NLDY13AC, etc.).

Which products are affected

1) Identify the connector type and marking

Marking : HT-X04   22 kN   PT 24

Affected batch: PT 24

If your product marking matches this batch, proceed to the next step.

2) Inspect the rivet

Incorrect or missing crimping (flat rivet surface)

Non-compliant

Properly crimped rivet (rounded surface)

Compliant

As a precautionary measure, we have decided to extend this verification to all batches sold since 2023.

🔍 Safety reminder – Before-use check and periodic inspection

Before each use, all PPE must be systematically checked.

Inspect the legibility of markings, absence of cracks, deformation, corrosion, correct operation of the automatic locking system, presence and condition of rivets, proper crimping, and surface cleanliness.

In addition to routine pre-use checks, PPE must undergo a periodic thorough inspection by a competent person. We recommend an inspection at least once every 12 months, or after any exceptional event during the product’s lifetime.
